holy shit!! this post here is about my langkawi trip from last august...i uploaded the pics but was too lazy at that time to type about it!! and now 9 months later...hahaha!!

the first thing i snapped when i set foot on langkawi!! yataa......

and the first thing we did was to stock up!! lol...it was like going to heaven, which we eventually will if we actually lived in langkawi due to liver failure!! almost everything there is below hundred, so many choices but so little space...it was a torture to choose what to buy man!! btw, the shops at kuah town sells stuff cheaper and especially the shop zeno. so, do go there and buy!!

then, of course we went to our "home"!! roughly rm45 a night!! you wish we stayed there!! the picture is the bank negara resort place...*restricted*

this is where we stayed!! looked kinda sad...but still can la...what do you expect for that price!!

from the outside, it was quite a nice place actually!!

the 1st room we went in to, oo...not bad la!! just that got a weird smell...

second one...wow!! better than the 1st one!! bigger bed and the best is that there's no smell!!

and you must me thinking the 3rd one was the best of all huh!! here's a sneak preview...

in the end, ma chao hai!! look like kai tau (brothel) only...like a room for people to shag in it and leave!! plus, it stinks like hell!!

well, since it was quite some time ago, too lazy to elaborate and remember what happened but of cos it was filled with drunkness!! on the way back, we went for a little detour before heading home~

we stopped buy penang!! char kuay teow, oh jian (fried oyster), prawn mee, laksa!! damn i miss it now and especially those times with all my friends...then after that we weren't satisfied yet!!

we dropped by ipoh!! tauge ayam kuetiau!!

we were lucky cos it was like the last portion of chicken left!! bwahahaahahhahaha...it definitely was a memorable trip!! since, i'm now stuck in kampung gippsland!!

by the time we reached home it was 5 something in the morning...lol!! awesome...

hey hey!! just went to the city during the easter holidays for 2 nights and now i am back in gippieland!! so, here is what we did for those few days...

well, we stayed in a budget hotel on spencer street!! $118 for a night for 3 people...considered very cheap already without converting to RM la...

it is pretty much expected due to the price le and cause the girls cannot accept the backpackers lodging due to shared bathrooms...

and this is how the room looks like after a great makeover!! hahahahahaha...

then we head out for dinner at ying thai 2?? wonder where is 1?? but whatever it is, it is supposed to be serving good thai food!!

hehehehe...just to cut the long story short, we went to se7en after that and club our hearts out!! damn right!! and i met xiang yee there...and her friend whom i forgot her name >.<

on the second night...didn't do much!! stayed in the "hotel" and drink a bit and then zzz...

and then brunch was nasi lemak house!!

then we went to st kilda's beach for a while...

not that beautiful...but better than port dickson of course...and a kid is buried in the sand!!

then off we go to frankston beach!! we visited 2 of the most well-knowed beaches in melbourne in a day!! hahaha...

it was so cloudy that evening...we were actually waiting for the sunset!!

and we managed to to catch it...while we were actually gonna leave -_-|||

us sitting at the platform while waiting for the sun to set...and as usual la...camwhore time!!

later on, we went to glen waverly to have steamboat buffet!!

$22.80 a person!! and this is the real "ma lat foh woh"!! spicy man...

the amount of food we have...and look at the portion of meats!! whooo ooo ooo...

overall, it was a good easter holiday trip!! eat and eat alot...and to those of you who were asking on facebook!! this is her...

hello people!! this is another update about life in the lil kampung!! though there is nothing much really...just the things that i might have done back home but too lazy to!! such as, basketball and badminton...two sessions each, which makes it 4 times a week!! i am damn healthy now!! lol...besides drinking that is!! hahahaha...and now here are some pictures from the glow party that just passed yesterday!! cause it is so quite here...there are these kinda parties every now and then!!

hi hi hi!! now this is really a long time since i blogged!! it's like more than half a year already...but this does not mean i will be blogging frequently again. this is just to show u guys where i am now...ulu kampung to many but it is a very nice place to me!! for the moment it will only be my residence...i am actually still very lazy to blog lol~

yea, this is my residence!! south unit 7...

and this is the view u get once u get out from the house!! lotsa trees huh...

n this is my cozy li'l room...pretty tight but it will do...i ain't that fat anyway...

this is the toilet...the male side!! and yes there's a female one too as this is a mix house...the showers are separated...so yea!!

the kitchen...it's pretty spacious!! has two refigerators, oven, microwave and of cos an electric stove (two of them actually!!).

n this is the common area...one of my housemate told me that last year they played dota games here!! all 10 people!! but too bad most of them graduated already...*sobs*

blogging frenzy 2: fat yee's birthday

last saturday, we celebrated my eldest sister's 27th birthday!! so, we went to Elcerdo at Werner's Place at jln ceylon. if you don't know where it is. it's the road behind jln bukit bintang and then behind jln alor...

from the outside, it looks like any normal dining place huh!! and i love their motto, nose to tail eating!! there's only one animal that's possible of that...the PIG!!

it's a very nice place...though it might be quite tight!! lotsa people man...

and that's my dad's head...

dinner started off with a ham plate!! yummy yummy...they all taste great!!i wanna go back there again!!

and then came the bacon rolled with cheese and some sauce i think...it is the best i have eaten!! but, for 6 to 7 pieces, it's around rm25 man!! w00t

then there's steak!! also yummy...

and this is the seafood paella...it is nice if you like the strong taste of their herbs!! i don't like it though...just a few bites and i jelak already!!

this is their main attraction!! the roast black piglet!! like the ones you eat at any chinese restaurants...just with a different taste!!

and no, i did not lie to you. nor did you read wrongly!! there are black pigs!! just like there are black people... >.<

and here, is the "ritual" or tradition they have there!! after chopping the piglet up with the plate...you throw the plate for good luck i think?! and you can be assured that their plates are clean, cause they buy new ones regularly lol!!

everything there is about pigs man...the deco and stuff!! there are many more, but i shy to take le!! the place so classy and the waiters are always so busy moving around...

okay, last but not least is their dessert!! werner's special...it's fresh strawberry with strawberry sherbet and vanilla ice cream and some chocolate mousse!! it's like a sundae le...nothing that special about it...

overall, the dinner was great!! service was great, taste was great, the place was great too and of course the price was great as well...rm428 for five people!! well...expected already!! hehehe...if you are a pork lover, what are you waiting for??

blogging frenzy 1: monash motorshow cum carnival

yo...it's been awhile eh!! hehe...normal le, with the lazyness and assignments (as if i'm very concerned about it lol!!). so, this is about the motorshow held at monash the last two weekends ago. nothing much to mention about actually. was quite sad in my opinion, especially the carnival area!! it was like only a pinch of the monash community that were there.

and i was about to leave soon...until i heard something that gained my attention and since i saw many people gathering up. my itchy butt decided to take a look...

i actually paid rm5 to enter to see this man!! it was some old man showing off his misfiring system...it was cool to watch though!!

and here is a clip of people drifting at the end of the monash car park...was kinda lame actually if you think about it. it was a very small compound for them to drift!! the best they could do was a figure 8 over and over and over...

hehehe...well, if you can't play with the big boys toys!! you can play with the small ones here...

hi hi!! there's nothing much to blog about lately...just been dota-ing and watching bleach that's all!! i'm not even studying or preparing for my assignments either!!

as the title has already told you like half the story...so, here is the other part!! are you sick and tired of downloading your korean dramas, japanese animes or music videos and etc?? well, i've found just the solution for you!! and i found out about it at the cyber cafe lol...

i've been watching bleach from tv-links or bleach series for sometime now. both the sites are okay though, just that the streaming sometimes could be a pain in the ass!! so, while i was in the cc, this guy beside me was watching naruto and the usual busy body me checked out what site was he streaming it from...it was crunchyroll.com!!

so, i went home and took a look at it!! mamamiya...they have everything asian there!! their motto is - streaming asian media for the masses!! whoooo...it is like the encyclopedia of asian media man!! everything from A-Z is there...plus, the streaming is absolutely quick...quicker than you can say super-cala-fraga-listic-espi-ala-docious!!

massacre of the crayfish

last weekend, my dad went on a road trip with his friends to penang, haadyai and other places to play golf, while my 2nd sister is still in poland for work...thus, left me and my mom at home...

and so, she brought me to eat soo kee sang har (crayfish) mee at tmn megah!! it is at the coffee shop behind fatty crab!! i had always been craving for it since i first tasted it at soo kee jln imbi!!

mite mite!! (look look!!). doesn't it look tempting huh?! and wipe that drool off your face yina lol!! oh, but i forgot to take a picture of how big the crayfish was...i think it was the biggest i had so far though!! for this it is rm60 okay... *yum yum*

my mom happily enjoying her sang mee (if directly translated, it means raw noodles). and it is the shizznit!! no other can replace it for sang har mee!!

oh and this is the nam yu kuat!! hmm...i also dunno how to explain...ah!! it is pork fried with the red coloured taucu!! yup...but this one they over fried it...but still okay la!! what matters is that the sang har mee is nice!!

okay...so, the best one i recommend for sang har mee is soo kee!! even the one at batu caves lose!! cause they don't have sang mee or yee mee...they serve it with wat tan hor fun, which is not so nice la...the one at greenview sucks to the maxx!! and for the price u paid for...hell no!! plus everything there is so salty...from their vegetables to fried frog and sang har mee!!

well, can't wait for my next time to eat it...but i think that wouldn't be so soon in the near future!! cause i'm gonna go broke soon if i don't control my spending!! been flowing money out of my pocket like sand just on food man...aight, gonna go sleep now!! got early class tomorrow...tata!!

last thursday, the ol' me went to luna at pan global in kl. it was more than a year since i last went there. really missed it very much!!

it used to be our gang's weekly spot...and this is taken at the pond near their toilet actually, lol!!

well, i have never posted anything about luna before and i'm sure almost everyone would have gone to or heard of it before. but, if you have never been there as long as i did...you are in for a suprise!!

yup, this is their normal ol' bar...

and the normal pool and people sitting by the windows...

and their usual view of one of the twin towers...sadness though!!

so what you didn't know was that...

they now have a new area...cristallo!! a smoke free zone...

the coolest thing is that you touch this sensor here to open a automatic sliding door to enter!!

and walaa...look at those big classy chairs...they look a li'l uncomfortable but i forgotten to go and try it!! haihs...

their interior was...if i told you it was a members only area, you would believe it!! but it's not la of course...

and another good thing is...it is air-conditioned!! so, it is not so hot like outisde...besides, there are less people in there because most bar-goers smoke!! therefore, you can have a more quiet and relaxed time there...

and they even have a tv set!! yea...only one!! don't ask me why?! probably out of budget to install more...

the apartment

hey hey...last week me terri n fei zai went to a new place at the curve!! because we were bored on a wednesday night...

yup...and here it says it is the apartment!! it is somewhere beside fridays...can't really remember but definitely on the street!!

so, we were upstairs (they have two floors) and it is the more chilling section of course

cause downstairs is more for dining...it has quite a relaxed feeling due to the dimmed lightings.

oh and they have a reading section too...only for two...??!!

and then they have urrm...what do you call this?? terrace?? loft?? wtv...it is a small level between the two floors on your way upstairs. good for some private time...

okay...back to upstairs!! it is quite a small area though. i dunno what happened to the other half of the lot but it also means less noise!! unless we're there and with weng hoe of course, extra hullabaloo!! lol...we laugh like jackasses!!

ah...and there is like a hole in the floor upstairs and you can see below!! heeheehee...i know what you're thinking...*down-blouse* huh (or at least that was what the three of us were thinking!!) hahaha...but too bad, no luck that night!!

something random here is that they have a wardrobe?? doubt they are for sale...it is all girl's stuff btw besides some sneaker shoes...not sure if they are for sale though...maybe it was an idea to get some busybody dumb girls to look inside and tempt them to have a drink!!

aight...and that is all there is!! about the pricing, drinks i would say it is about the same as laundry or sanctuary. so, it is up to you what kind of atmosphere you like. food-wise, i have no idea...yet to be tried!!

brazillian buffet!!!!

ahaa...!! the long awaited carnaval churrascaria event has finally arrived and happened yesterday!! it is a brazillian buffet restaurant around atria there. it is located at one corner on the same row as maybank...so, if you really love meat and think you can eat a whole cow. go for it!!

the price is reasonable i think. the full meal for adults is rm48 and rm18 for kids. as for the light meal, which is kinda dumb is rm30 (it means minus the meat parade). okay, so they also have weekly promotions there. on monday is party nite: 5 adults 1 eats for free!! tuesdays are wine & dine nite "BYO" (bring your own wine/liqour). wednesday is ladies nite and they get 15% off...and on sundays is family day also with 15% off.

it is quite a small place but enough for a small party. according to cindy, they were very delighted that we reserved a table for 13 people. that would be like a jackpot for them on a tuesday man...i guess not many people patron that place much from monday to wednesdays. that's why they have those promotions.

and these is what you have at the food/salad bar...nothing much to talk about, they serve spaghetti, potato salad, vegetables and more vegetables and more of it...

yup, this is their light meal...which is so not worth the rm30!! so, don't be a stingy poker and pay the extra rm18 for the pleasure i had that you are gonna see next!!

since it was tuesday, so we brought our own wine!! hehe...courtesy of tan mei wan (ah sou). i like what is written on its label: imagine a place where the sky stretches out as far as the eye can see...sounds like a very beautiful place, unless you are short sighted of cause.

and now, let the feasts begin!! we started off with garlic bread that doesn't taste like garlic bread but more of like sour cream bread (this sentence is so cool *snort*).

and then chicken sausage...oh, and that's old man and cindy!! see, who says my blog doesn't have people in it?? lol...

and ooo....smoked chicken ham!!i was so tempted to ask for the onion hehe!! oh and on the left is jenny and on the right is man aka black...

*beams* beef trite or whatever it is but it is definitely not tripe...i think...cause tripe would be the lining of the stomach...hmmm...

whatever...moving on is the beef drumstick!! all red and juicy...and there you have terri and vinnie!!

look at the tender slice of meat!! it's calling out to you...and all you can say is mmhhmmmm.......actually there were more stuff that they served us but i was to busy you know...there was fish, prawns, pineapples, lamb chops and more lamb and beef and tra la la la la~

well, everyone was full and of course there is a group photo!! hehe...don't need to intro gua...you probably seen them many many times on my blog.

and then me and kak fong shared dessert!! creme de mango...it is fresh mango blended with vanilla ice cream. its good its fresh and tastes good, but one thing bad about it is the unavoidable strands of fibre in mangoes...

yup, and then there's me posing gay-ishly with a handbag...it is ah sou's one btw!!

right...everyone enjoyed the food and the time spent there!! oh and one thing that i must point out is that, most of the meat are cooked with garlic and not much variations in taste. so, if you don't like garlic, better not go!! yup and that's about it and i have to get ready now to go to the curve!! see ya~

hello...as my title says it, i have nothing to blog about whatsoever. it is all because my friends are too lazy or reluctant to send me the pictures of my supposed topic. thus, this lame post is here...

so, i'm just gonna talk about things that have been going on lately...to kick it off, would be me going back to university. it has commenced for a week and err...it's alright i'd say, was quite excited to check the new campus out during the end of the holidays. it is big and all...but, it is one sad campus!! there are no sports facilities around that makes it worse than a high school...at least in school there would be a basketball court and a field to kick sand in. haihs...and i was hoping for a swimming pool...

besides that, it is okay le...haven't tried the new cafeteria though. i'd avoid it whenever i could and that is almost everyday except thursday which i have a break in between classes and i'll have no choice but to fill my black hole there.

as for my classes, it's cool...i have perfectly fine lecturers except for one of my major units, omg!! she was the one who taught us american music last semester and it was shit!! pray hard she does a better job this time...oh, and the lecturer for my radio and television journalism is cool!! his real name is vimal but known as double D...the first thing that comes to mind is either he wears a bra or he is a dota geek!! lol...but he's cool...he works at a radio station and also deejays for sanctuary on friday nights!! hehe...let's see if he could hook me up for some deals...

well, i definitely have not started studying yet. so, what have i been up to mostly?? dota lor...and tv-links!! it is the shiznit yo~! (yea yea...i know i just found out about it!!) it is for all your entertainment needs...there are series, movies, animes, music videos and other stuff that could last you a lifetime to watch!! they have movies you never heard about, movies that are not even in malaysia yet...(insider joke: that's where i get my sources from and make my dvds). it is online video streaming though...so, if your connection sucks!! then, sucks for you cause you suck...

lol...that's all for this dumb post!! and u've just wasted approximately 3 minutes of you life reading this!! and now i'm gonna watch bleach...out!!

at last...after months and months of suggesting we should go to a new place finally took place. but, was because we had no choice @#$%^&*!! the initial plan was to go sky bar because some of the friends had never been there before. and as i've stated before in my previous post, let's just say i prefer not to go there again...

so, we went to 7atenin9 at the ascott opposite the twin towers!! because sky bar was full due to a wedding party...*thank god*

okay...before moving on to the main part. i gotta tell you something very important!! it was a life threatening situation...lol!! after pacing through the city centre traffic and all, we reached the basement lift to head towards the lobby...once we stepped inside, we all felt a li'l dip/jerk in the lift. but we thought it was probably just weng hoe's weight >.<

so, unknowingly we just hit the G button and the lift started moving upwards till it kinda stopped and i could see that we were actually moving downwards and the lift's control panel has gone cuckoo...i kinda started to freak out and smarty ass vincent said "don't worry, we're just stuck." well, ain't those the magic words!! then, the lift kinda like slipped off it's brakes which makes it feel like an earthquake...

heh...some of you may be laughing now!! wait till you go into that lift...you'll be crying like a bitch!! luckily we know we're just one or two floors up, which even if we really fall we know we won't die...yet...lol!! oh oh right...what happened in the end?? we rang the bell and told the guard that your fucking lift is falling man!! and suddenly the door opens and we're back at the floor where we got onto the lift...

what a way to start the night!! moral of the night is to not take the lifts at ascott ever again!!

thank goodness the place was cool...and made me forget the tragedy...lol!!

they have an upstairs terrace...more quiet if you wanna have a private time!! oOooOoo...

and they also have a li'l section upstairs, which is like for a small party kinda thing...

hello ppl!! i'm back from genting!! it was a good 2 days spent there...the trip was planned by my cousin, bryan and li shan. so, i was the odd one out because the rest were their high school mates. but, i enjoyed my time anyway...

ma bro and me at the lobby...it's first world of course, not so rich to stay anywhere else!!

we were all freaking hungry cause we woke up at around 6 something for the trip without a proper meal...and we went to kenny rogers!! i also dunno why...

i had the potato jacket meal...it's been a long time since i ate kenny rogers. so, it's like the first time i tried it. lol!! looks good huh...but looks can be deceiving. thus, make your own conclusion eh?!

then, we were walking around first world and i saw chow mein express!! holy shit...it reminds me weng hoe there calling somebody's name lol...

right...so, after brunch we went to the outdoor theme park!! though the rides weren't that fun or exciting...and the solero shot kinda disappointed me cause it was the best genting could offer. haihs...better do something about it lim goh tong!! bring in new rides that are not so retarded like the flying coaster aka superman.

first we went to was the pirate ship...i remember the first time i sat it in starhill when i was still little and innocent. it made me sick!! could never take this...

i tell you...almost everything we eat there are like 3 times more expensive man...and i meant the cheap stuff. i think it would be more worth it to eat the marked up expensive stuff right?? nasi goreng kampung is rm12.50 man...w00t!!

after dinner we went to the arcade for awhile...them, posing with the guns!!

there's nothing much to do there at night actually...so, we went back to the rooms, rest and play card games. that would be chor tai dee...well, did you really think i would end my night like that huh?? later on the legal kids, me and ben went to the casino!! bwahahaha...

my first time in there...hahaha!! was so excited and afraid also actually cause i know i most likely won't leave the table once i sit on it...in the end, we played roulette!! my hands were shaking man...was losing at first and then i won back!! but only won rm10...well, better than losing la right?! ben wasn't so lucky...he won all the way at the start and then lost all totalling rm60.

the next day started with buying tickets for harry porter: order of the phoenix!! then, brunch at mary browns for those who didn't wake up for breakfast and that would of course be me and ben and li shan...lol!!

my first time at mary browns and it sucked!! lol...it's like a pirated kfc!!

harry porter...was...as usual la...but, a li'l irritating this time!! go watch it and you'll know.less action this time also. mostly, it was about politics and stuff...after the movie, we went to grab a bite at gogo franks!! hahaha...there is one at mid valley right outside the carrefour entrance near nando's...check it out!! it's quite good...something different!!

then we went and walk around again...looking at stuff and arcade again and soon it was time to go...

again...the best buddies!!

okay...there is no 3rd day in s'pore because i was too tired to go anywhere after mos!! so, i just stayed home to rest and went over to jb at night to my 5th uncle's place...well, at first my cousin was supposed to bring me to ah wah to eat their chu yuk yuen fun. but, apparently i was so slumber in my deep sleep they didn't want to disturb me.

oh well...in the end my aunt and uncle brought me to this famous hakka yong tau fu shop!! hehe...i'm fine with wherever good food is!!

hey hey!! on to the 2nd day!! woke up about noon to get ready and meet miss curly wurly at clementi station...it's like 15 stations away from bishan man!! that is considered very far already in s'pore!!

and there she is...yina with her new curls!! lol...with the request from grace, here is the picture!! laugh all you want now...haha!!

here is just a funny poster in the toilet that i would like to share with you guys...hehe!! doubt there are many of these in m'sia, even if there are, half of it is probably not there anymore.

so, we met up with jean at the mrt station actually and then head to vivocity!! their new mall at harbour front...

the mall overlooks the sea!! and you can see sentosa island!! oo...and there is like an outdoor space for kids to play and hang out. hmm...dunno why i didn't had the urge to take pictures of it...cause it had a pretty nice man made beach kinda thingy there. so, what i'm trying to say is it's very nice!!

for brunch, is kwey chap!! for you chinese people, you'll love it!! it's actually like the 'low chu yuk' but u eat this together with the chee cheong fun kinda thingy on the left. *yum yum*

well, there's nothing much in vivo city. almost the same as everywhere else...i didn't buy anything and nothing there suits the poor me. damn, i hate the exchange rates!!

right...and this is where our dinner is!! it says authenthic french restaurant and thus we decided to try it. it's kinda like the delicious's menu stating: very delicious cheeseburger that tempts you to try it...ish ish!!

the place is kinda tight...the waitress had to ask a couple to sit by the bar seats to allow space for us. paiseh man!!

1st day of my singapore trip!!

hey hey!! i'm home...and so here begins my li'l adventure (yea...right!!) in the land of the merlion. i stayed at my 7th aunt's place in bishan for three days...

the gardens...quite a nice place, one lot is about $500k...that's like more than rm1 mil...w00ts...i could get a li'l mansion already!!

oh well...singapore has limited land. but it is quite a cozy place though. lotsa decorative stuff and partly thanks to my 6th aunt (and yes...i do have that many aunts).

and this is like the guest room where i pig in every night...well, almost!! lol...

okay...so my first day started off with breakfast from my favourite fast food outlet...mos burger!! it is from japan...haik!! and they used to have an outlet in klcc, which had turned into burger king!! why?? WHY??

my all time favourite!! yakiniku rice burger!!sexy!! okay...now, this is my best burger in the world!! cause i only get to eat it once or twice a year...

okay...this is random!! i was at the heeren on orchard road and they have my store...cool eh!!

and then i had lunch with luke...thank god for him otherwise i would be spending my first day alone. sad case right...that's cause yina pang seh me!! hmph...

well, luke brought me to his favourite lunch spot that is a food court in cineleisure s'pore. we had this grilled fish rice from the fish delight counter. urrmm...not bad i would say!! nothing special though...

after that we had tea at ya kun kaya toast...very famous in s'pore!!

this is one of their sets...kaya & butter toast, half boiled eggs and with coffee or tea!! only for 3.99...

after that, nothing much to talk about lor...just drove around and then went home. was damn tired!! hehehe...but at night...we went to geylang!! ho ho ho...for sightseeing!! there are lots of mountains and valleys there and cave diving o_0 if you know what i mean?! lol...geylang is a red light district and it is legal and of course there are those illegal ones (they're more fun!! haha...). the legal ones are in houses with big numbers on them and the illegal ones stand by the road side waiting to pull you in...grrr...

the ones in the houses look worse than those by the road but they are supposedly clean cause they have a certificate stating that they are here to be a prostitute and they go for check ups weekly...oh, and there are indonesians, indians and chinese pros!! of course the chinese ones are the hotter ones...if you pass by, they will ask you "chim ma?" (i don't know what it means exactly, but it signifies "wanna go?"). sorry la, couldn't get any pictures cause i doubt the people there would like it...lol!!

it was damn funny when the pimps were trying to promote their girls, saying they are very good in massaging or blowjobs...lol!! and some will just hold on to you until you say yes!! i will chim you!! hehe...

then luke brought me to this yong he dou jiang you tiao da wang!! it is just beside the famous geylang beef ho fun stall...too bad didn't get to try that one, but not to worry, many more chances ahead!!

yea...of course we ordered soya bean and yao char kwai!! it is double the size here than in malaysia...and you know why?? cause it's double the price!! -_-''

and then i ordered this xiao long bao...not very like what i expected...it is small alright...but no gravy in it...or maybe limited...4.00 for eight...what can you expect le haihs...yina said the best is ding tai feng!! (why didn't you bring me there?!! huh?!!)

besides that, there were also illegal gambling stalls by the road side in geylang...it is a very simple and fast game, and there is only one game btw...the banker just rolls three dices and you place your bets on the number on the dice, one to six. eg: if you bet on one, and he rolled one, four and six. you win one fold of what you bet. but if he rolled one, one, five. you win double and so on. but if the number you bet on don't come out of course you don't win la!! (just in case for some people who like to ask stupid questions!! lol...)

hello people!! i have safely reached singapore yesterday around 10.30pm after a 5 hour ride on the transnasional bus. am now staying with my 7th aunty at bishan. a nice place but not very near any mrt station though...making it less convenient than their old house.

now, the best part of my this wonderful trip. again, the place i sat in the bus has water dripping onto me from the air vent, which is bloody irritating when you are trying to take a nap. but the previous journey was way worse cause it was a 8-10 hour ride to kuala terengganu...now, moving on to the highlight!! i arrived at the singapore custom, so i took my luggage down from the bus and did what i had to do la...but, i forgot to fill in the visitor pass/card and so i was a little delayed. when i was done, i found out that my bus left me!! it freaking left me!! @#$%

so i called my aunt and they came to fetch me from the custom. felt quite bad to disturb them at that hour...and, i left my fairly new water bottle in the bus!! damn...mom's so gonna kill me when i get back!! it is like number dunno what bottle i had in my life...she swore to never buy me a nice water bottle again. i shall be using coca cola bottles for the rest of my life =(

alright...that's about it for this post and i shall update when i get back cause there'll be pictures!! wheee...

these were some of the beautiful girls present that night...it was quite a sad night for maison, there's nobody on wednesdays, which was good for us, more space and less stuffy...but which also means less other leng luis lorr...

hello ppl!! urrmm...err...i'm back??!! hehe...i noticed it has been like a month and a half since my last post. well, i have been busy...and also lazy...but most of the time i'm busy being lazy. i know everybody has been asking me to update my blog and so here i am.

so, i'll start with a note for you ppl out there who are starting to feel lazy as i do. and especially if you are a nuffnanger!! one day when i opened my email that says nuffnang would like to advertise for this nike campaign on your blog...i was super duper excited!! but something struck me in an instant..."i haven't been blogging for awhile though...oh shit!!" damn right it was...not long after that i received another mail which says that they were very sorry that they made a mistake bla bla bla...i was like omg!! it must be because i was bloody lazy to update it!! NooOOoooOOoo........

yup...that was bimbotic!! lol...moving on...well, for the past month i have been busy with my major assignments which i did fairly well i guess except for journalism. thanks to my lazy smart ass, i could have almost failed the unit. hope all turns out well...results will be out around mid july. so, pray hard everyone!! (ya ya ya...i know i'm left handed alright!! ish ish...)

now, i'm gonna start a small li'l lecture for some of my friends eh!! it's not specifically targeted to anyone but to everybody okay...so, don't take it personally!!

life is not worth it...but it's short!! so, what are you gonna do in your life?? are you gonna take charge of it or play by the book set by your parents?? if you are gonna obey your parents everytime than it is not your life anymore, it's theirs. in history, liberty never really existed naturally. it was fought for!! so fight for it...many told me that they have tried many times or very hard. maybe you just haven't tried hard enough, or you gave up half way. so, take a good time thinking about it eh...cause you are bound to regret one day if you don't push the limits!!

alright...it is the holidays now!! whee...but only for a measely 1 month for me. good enough i guess to rest and relax before the next semester...and i'm gonna be going to singapore this weekend for a week!! so...you can expect more posts coming up i think!! hahaha...enjoy!!

craving for german food?? or great pasta?? euro deli is the place to be...i think it even pawns italiannies!!

this is the outlet in damansara utama, somewhere inside the housing area. they have another two, one in uptown and one in kl.

yup, so i usually go to the one in du...i think it's the best because actually every outlet have their own chef specialties menu and theirs is the best...although, i have never been to the one in kl, but it used to be halal. therefore, how good can it get right?!

so, they normally serve you bread and butter as a starter...keeps you occupied while waiting for your food to arrive so the wait doesn't seem that long.

and so i ordered their carbonara...creamy and look at the amount of bacon!! w00ts!! normally if i was with my family, we order this as a starter...but this is their main portion, the starter's quite big also!!

and shirley had the pork cordon bleu...well, it has lots of cheese in it!! hehehe...kinda messy to eat as it will look quite disgusting if you have a good imagination...

and this is a quiche lorraine...it's bacon, ham and cheese i think!! superb...but very jelak, almost couldn't finish everything...cause all also so creamy, cheesy and porky!! lol...

sorry la...since there is only the both of us, can't show you many pictures of their food!! but i wanna recommend one of their chef specialties there which is the butcher plate. for rm25, you get bacon, ham, pork knuckles and a sausage!! all-in-one!!

so, last night for dinner, we went to the pantai seafood restaurant at kg kayu ara. it is situated behind damansara jaya, near bu11 and opposite damansara utama...yup, some li'l place smacked between there.

the place is like a hut...probably to suit its surroundings, it is in a kampung after all.

here is where they place their 'fresh' seafood for everyone's viewing pleasure...

the first thing that came on our menu was the prawn fried with salted egg...as i said before, people have found a smart way to make things taste great. it is either you put lots of zhu yao char in it or fry it with salted egg!!

one of their famous dish is this otak-otak taufu...yum!! but they put less otak-otak now =(

and there was also the bamboo lala...but apparently, this one here is its cousin from scotland. it is much bigger and cooked with lots of garlic...*orgasmic*

normal lala in superior soup...which actually means drowned with alcohol!! hehehe...big and juicy!!

assam fish!! the gravy is most important and of course the freshness of the fish...both passed!!

this is something else special at this place...the two method kailan!! actually, they take the kailan leaves and deep fry it until it becomes crispy. then put onto the stir fried kailan stems.

and we also ordered fried buttered sotong...it was kinda disappointing as the rest were great. oh well, nothing is perfect aight!!

hehehe...what's seafood without a little bit of wine?! it was a wonderful night for my tummy...was damn bloated after that.

now, time to tell you how much the bill is...it amounted to rm250!! if you were in a grand restaurant, that would probably be the reasonable price. but, in this place?? that kinda price?? omg!! then we realised something on the receipt...the rest was okay, the scotland clams ... rm100.30!! w00ts!!

yup...this is the bloody culprit!! rm118 per kg!! though it was nice...but too expensive already!! so, if you are looking for a reasonable meal, don't order the scotland clams!! outz~

hehe...i know i said i'm not gonna blog these two weeks, but...yea, i just wanna blog about it aight!! it's my mum's birthday tomorrow and we are celebrating it today because it is wesak day tomorrow,which we will have to eat vegetarian...and that wouldn't be very nice to celebrate it right?? right?!

i think this restaurant is quite famous. thus, it doesn't need much introduction. but, this outlet i'm at here is the pj one at jalan kewajipan...

well...this is what you see when you enter, a huge sharkfin accompanied by a few smaller ones and a bunch of abalones. i'd say they do pass off as a high class restaurant, much better than tai thong or whatever else there is...cause it even feels different once you step inside!!

hehe...can you guess what is this?? it is actually fried pig intestines...yum yum!! i think this "delicacy" really requires an acquired taste...some people just can't take it, but if you're a typical chinese that would eat almost anything. cheers~

so hurry!! before it is too late!!

as you guys know, i went to the good charlotte concert in bukit jalil. so here are some pictures to tell how my night was...

hehe...posing with a big poster!! it was already 8.00pm that time and it haven't started. not sure if it is because of the malaysian timing or it is just pure nature that concerts never start on time...

i went with qian hui...she is so gonna kill me when she finds out i posted this up!! lol...

thanks to jenny, we got vip tickets and was able to avoid the hassle of queing up...

and we also get to hang out at an air conditioned tent with free bacardi to drink...free flow man!!whoo...that was my happiest time of the night!! these are the two bored "bartenders" seeking a moment of fame...

well, there were about 6,000 people (a lot less than i expected) there and the crowd was a little boring though. probably because i was at the vip media stand, where all the too old for punk rock people are standing...

sorry le...couldn't get a better picture of the band due to a lousy camera that can't zoom that far...if only i had the digi vip tickets. tsk tsk...

overall the concert was great...could have been better if my buddies were there!! aight...i'm gonna stop here and have my dinner. i won't be blogging "often" for the next 1 or 2 weeks cause it is again assignment time. ciaoz~

hehe...today is such a great one for me because as i was driving, my mom was looking through the mail that the postman just gave us. and to my suprise, i got a letter from MTv!! w00ts...only one thing crossed my mind...

bwahahaha...damn right it is 4 invites to the good charlotte concert on the 21st of april!! these are apparently money can't buy tickets...only available by winning them from MTv or DiGi or HiTz fM. but i guess there will be people selling it around rm100 or more for one on that day itself.

well, look here...there's eight of them?? it is not a photoshop trick guys...cause my sister got them too!! and we are so crazed at the moment!! wheee...............

this is so gonna help me for my american music assignment which we are suppose to do a concert review...but i have a little dilemma as well despite all the excitement cause the concert falls on the same day as may vern's 21st birthday party...but, but, good charlotte is too hard to resist plus it is free...so sorry girl...will make it up to you some other way okay!!

it was jen sen's 21st birthday last monday and we celebrated it at pizzeria bella italia on saturday for him...this post is gonna be all pictures with little words cause...

all i could say is that the place serves decent authentic italian food and at a quite reasonable price. it is located in ss2. the same row as murni...

the place is quite small though...

but it gives a very homey feeling...

i love this...funghi in carazzo, which is just fried mushrooms served with tartar sauce. a good starter!!

this is their cabonara...i still think euro deli serves the best cabonara though...

last monday, i was around mid valley to search for my traditional clothing... i felt hungry and then i saw this!!

gogo franks!! okok...i didn't really noticed it in the first place if they didn't offer free samples. they really have to learn how to advertise themselves and probably use a more captivating setting for their stall (communication student speaking here!!). or probably you know...use prettier people...lol!!

it replaced viking's sausages!! i miss viking's...it was a breakaway from 1901's which i use to eat regularly. oh well, this will do also i guess...and this shows how long i have never been to mid valley. they took over last june and i was blur blur...always going to 1U only and the curve...probably it is also time to go back to the bukit bintang area. lala~

this is their menu...i took a picture of it secretly (would i go to jail for this?? anybody?? law students??). they didn't allow me to do it because their boss said no taking pictures allowed...afraid people sell their menu meh?! for those with bad eyesights...they have prata sausages or ham roll, grilled sausages, chicken cheese balls...yea balls!! they have steamed buns with ham and pita pockets...the standard hotdog and sandwiches and not forgetting boring salad =P

monash cultural night 2007 on the 4th of april was a memorable one, though exhausting. with limited practice (hate it lots!!) and tight assignment (and this too!!) schedules, we managed to end the night of celebration of cultures gracefully...

at first i was disgusted by how the committee acted that we were supposed to put this event above everything else. they don't care whether you have class or something important to do. you are expected to show up for rehearsals, which in turn are kinda useless in my point of view and a pain in the ass. right...enough of ranting, time to move on to pictures!!

me and selina...mr and ms china!! there was this girl who came up to me after the show and asked "why is there so little chinese?" and i replied her that there were no other volunteers and i am also not from china and she was fucking pissed off...complaining why did i do it when i'm not from china!! whatever, nut brain~

hi hi!! last sunday i went back to my hometown, taiping. which is in perak for those who dunno for cheng beng...yup, it is the season for the chinese or buddhists to pay a visit to their ancestors and give their respect. right...doesn't sound that filial-ish huh, since we only do it once a year.

so i woke up at about 6.15am, get ready and started our 3 hour journey. haha...and of course i slept through most of it la...

and again we stop by our usual spot...oh, i forgot to take down the name of the road, but never mind la. doubt you guys would really take the initiative to go there anyway...

what is famous here is of course the kai si hor fun (shredded chicken noodle). loads of people eat there every time we go, or maybe just because it is that time of the year that's why so many people are there...

and also not forgetting, some of them there adds chili/sambal into it and wahlah...you have instant curry noodles?? lol...it is not a big deal actually, it just tastes spicy and yea... ... ...

after that we start the normal thing la...being the eldest grandson in my part of the chow family, i guess i will be doing this for the rest of my life. but, i can't see why the other chow's aren't doing it or couldn't do it...it is not like they are any less chow-er than me?! just for your information, my great grandparents are there and so are both my great great grandmothers...nobody mentioned about my great great grandfathers though. yea...and that's why i'm complaining!! where are the rest of them??

okay...so after doing all that under the hot sun, we normally go to ipoh and eat at these two famous coffee shops which are kinda side by side. but not this year, my uncle suggested somewhere else and but again...it was closed or not there anymore!! was badly disappointed cause i am unable to blog about it...with no other choices we ate at another place which sells the same food, kai si hor fun, penang char kuay teow and western food (why the hell are they selling these in taiping's coffee shops anyway?? it is just so wrong!!). in the end i was forced to eat penang char kuay teow in perak lol...

after lunch, my eighth grand uncle (damn right you read it properly!!) suggested cendol!! my favourite!! it was just around the corner...

the shop is along jalan chung thye phin...and behind it was the stupid shop we ate at!!

yea man...cendol pulut!! and with kidney beans (not the normal little red beans, the bigger ones) some more!! irresistible!! for those who have never tried cendol with pulut...omg!! you better go find one now or better still, add your own. it makes the cendol so much more fragrant and delicious...although i would say that malacca's cendol is still the best even without the pulut.

and then, what is cendol without rojak?? or probably it is the other way round.well, you will always see these two together la most of the time.but the one there was okay okay only la. i could get better ones in pj.

as you can see...they do have lots of customers but they only have 2 people handling the shop, poor guys. and my family members were like commenting on how they should hire more helpers, but i don't think that is necessary. despite the fact that there were people who leaves while waiting for too long, they didn't have to worry cause there were more people coming and they just keep coming like the ants found the sugar jar. by the way...how often do you see a rojak and cendol shop?? i doubt there's many indeed...they are mostly on bikes or lorries or little stalls.

thus, i would like to stress my point here again...if your product is great, i don't see that there is a point to do stupid things like altering your recipe or whatever to maximise profit. cause if you do...in the end, you would lose all your loyal customers and become just like every other dumb fuck... cheers~

well, last friday was my dad's birthday!! he is 55 already...like every year and every family member's birthday, we cut a cake and have a nice dinner...or so...

my dad wanted a cheese cake at first...but dunno how did it end up into a tiramisu, which was also good!! bought it from bakerzine...

then on saturday we went to eat at delicious by ms. read...due to some unforseen circumstances on friday!! lol...jus kidding la, he had some dinner with his colleagues...

i have never eaten there before, so this was my first time. all i know is that the desserts are good there, kinda just like bakerzine.

and now i am gonna try their food!! wheEeEeeEe........

as usual...i will start with mushroom soup. my favourite!! but not to say very good...anyway, if something goes wrong with mushroom soup, *speechless*

for my main meal...i ordered...

seriously DELIcious cheeseburger!! how not to try right?? what bitches they are...it was okay la, not to say especially delicious from other burgers!! still prefer the best burger in the world.

well, my eldest sister had seafood spaghetti...quite dry n tasteless!! ... ...

my mom had masaporne mushroom spaghetti...not bad i'd say, something different at least. i still blame the "seriously DELIcious cheeseburger"!! otherwise, i would have tried something else...

the usual for my dad too...cabonara!! not creamy enough and the bacons are like fried flour?? cause it definitely did not taste like pork...

for my second sister...she had the rack of lamb!! no no...i mean the food...not the other kind of rack!! (yea...i can already feel some of you rolling your eyes, saying lame lame naik plane!!)

yea, so whatever...its dessert time!! i ordered apple lumberjack. quite nice...it is like a chocolaty cake with baked crispy apples on it served with vanilla ice cream. a combination of hot and cold... *melts*

and also the mango and lychee trifle.urrm...so so la...very normal...my friends tell me that their classic chocolate cake is nice!! gotta try it one day...

here are some other funny names on their menu.death by ice chocolate!! sounds damn cool huh...i think my friend tried it before, just normal...not freezing cold at all!!

you see lemonade from the front lawn? and there's the ugly duckling beneath it...limaunade from the back lane. hahaha~

laundry...luna...sanctuary...ish ish!! same old boring thing...this time we went to some place new to us, the sky bar at traders hotel in kl. it has the same concept as luna but the place is more classier though cause they control the crowd entering.

sky is smaller but has a nicer view of the twin towers...and apparently not as stuffy as luna. but then, if the place is smaller, how can the ventilation be better, right?? probably it is just the malaysian weather. changes like a woman's mood...

now this is dangerous. the walk way is so narrow that people could easily fall into the pool while they're high!! i almost jumped in actually due to some unforeseen circumstances and it would be grace's fault...hahaha!!

weng hoe, grace and yina chilling out...vincent and jessie was there too!! but unfortunately, my camera battery died when they reached. poor jessie, no camwhoring for her that night!!

the price there is almost like luna...some tell me it is cheaper but i think it is more expensive cause they standardize their pricing. almost all the cocktails are rm26...therefore, even if you ordered some shitty drink they're still gonna charge you the same as the rest!! so make sure you choose the good ones...oh and they have the jagger bomb over there except they call it the black bull (blovard and red bull) and without the bombing, where you're supposed to dunk the shot of jaggermeister into a cup of red bull. and yup...that was also rm26!! rip off!!

man...drinking really sucks you dry!! and especially when your alcohol tolerance is kinda high...get ready to pay through your ass la...it's time to cut down on drinking already!! hahaha...but who am i kidding? don't think that it is even possible. guess that's all for now!! really gotta go sleep already...nites nites~

last wednesday, had dinner at sakae sushi at the curve with my home boys and rehna. it is quite new in malaysia actually, they only have two outlets, the other one is at subang parade.

sakai sushi!! at the street...

it seems like a very neat n classy place...with bright lights and posh interior design

plus, a computer which is linked to the kitchen at every table makes it even perfect...the menu also comes with pictures and description, except for certain dishes. it really helps you to make your decision.

they have a section for people who wants to enjoy looking at the chefs cooking their teppanyaki...

as you know, eating japanese food without your parents is quite a bad idea cause it is gonna be expensive...so i ordered something ala carte, katsu don. otherwise, i would have ordered a bento...

on the fourth or fifth day of cny, priscilla invited us for dinner at this placed called bijan for every occasion possible. her birthday, cny and that she was soon leaving back to aussie.

it's located on jalan ceylon, somewhere behind jalan alor...

the restaurant is just a very small single storey lot...warning: don't park at their valet, it's rm35!!

the ambience was very relaxing though...nice lightings and has lots of paintings around

and is quite romantic if you are on a date...

there were like 14 of us...was quite ridiculous to order food to share cause it was gonna be hard to pass the dishes from one end to the other...so each table ordered their own.

for mine, we ordered the appetizer platter...which was so not worth it for rm30!! just look at that...sheesh!!

then we also had beef rendang...

chicken cooked with lemak nangka...

and fried asparagus with belacan...

we were so tempted to order this...pucuk paku goreng tahi minyak!! wtf is that?! i guess they translated it verbally from the cantonese "see yao", which is soy sauce/kicap...

this is our group...chor yee aka goldfish, weng hoe aka fei zai, jen sen, priscilla, emily, may vern aka cindy, me aka kai, vincent and sheau chuan aka oldman...lol!! was kinda weird cause all of them wore so formally and i was the only one in a cartoon t-shirt...

overall, though the place was nice one to dine at, but the food was quite a disappointment. so so only with a sky flying price and the portion was kinda small too...not forgetting fei zai was at my table!! it felt much smaller than it should...

later on, we went to jalan alor to eat some more!! hahaha...good food rocks!! being able to eat a lot rocks hell more!!

last sunday, went to karaoke with my friends!! at last...a successful trip to redbox cause nobody ever gets to wake up for it. much cheaper to go in the afternoon than at night...

we went to the one at the curve, apparently the receptionist said there were no more normal rooms left and we had to take the vip room. which is an additional rm40, but not per person la...that would be insanity already.

as you can see...the room is quite spacious. can fit 10 people at least, i think it's quite worth it after looking at it...cause we get a wide screen flat tv and ps2 to play with too!! but the food of course the same la...nothing special...

at first was only me and jessie who were singing...and slowly, the whole group went jing bang~ we should go karaoke more often!!! =)

after that, at night i went for dinner with my family at kampung baru subang. somewhere near the old airport but deeper inside...further from lala chong!! the restaurant name was sun loong kee...

this is dunno what fah lam yuk...it's like the ham yu fah lam pou but without the pot and no salted fish, instead it tastes sweet...hahaha!!

this is their steam fish...not bad and quite fresh i'd say!! lotsa garlic...yum~

buttered prawns...we ordered this cause my 2nd sister's bf likes to eat i think!! wasn't that good though...

this here is my favourite...it has 3 to 4 types of mushrooms, the normal shitake, golden needle and king oyster...can't remember if there were others, the dish finished quite quickly...the superior soup was WOW!! cause i love mushrooms anyway...lol!!

this is 3 type of eggs...chicken egg, salted duck egg and century egg (100 years egg in fear factor, bloody dumb americans, crying like a bitch when they found out that they had to eat it...i rather eat this than the madagascar hissing cockroaches).

i hope no patriotic americans sees this posts. otherwise, my blog will be shut downed and i'm gonna be a fugitive tracked down by FBI's or Secret Services...wish me luck~

now, i am sure everyone know what is syabu syabu!! if you don't know, it is japanese steamboat. and normally the ones you eat is probably the all you can eat ones and it tastes like any other steamboat.

mizi restaurant. it is near the giant in puchong...

for me it has become an annually event for the past few years...the place decorated with fake bamboo and sakura plants, the interior is very neat and clean, which is a good thing. unlike the not so hygienic coffee shop style steamboat places...

the best part about this place is that everyone gets to have their own pot!! means no fighting or cheating. normally, we would go around complaining who stole my meatballs or who took all the fish cakes!! plus, you don't have to eat other people's saliva too...

another good part of the place is that the pot doesn't gets extremely hot eventhough it is boiling!! it is powered electrically, those infra ray kinda thingamajig i think...

oh wait...actually this is the best part of the whole thing!! fresh, red, juicy thin slices of beef!! omfg...now this is sex in the mouth!! i could eat this forever...besides this of course the they have mutton and pork and sets to choose from with the regular stuff. the sets costs roughly rm15-20 la depending which one you like better...

so, everyone should go try it!! and if you're wondering, it is not all you can eat ah!! have to pay one ok...tell you first!! otherwise, later all come and blame me why never say earlier...

hello hello!! it has been over two weeks now since uni started and as usual there are loads of assignments and presentations to do. this time i shall be ready and plan my time well...and i don't think i will be blogging that often anymore i think cause as i said before, blogging is a yearly affair for me. besides, you can all see that i am getting lazier and lazier already...but i will try my best though to keep you guys entertained. people are already starting to complain...

what i am posting here is a little behind time, it was even before valentine's day and cny!! a few of us drove around kl to ampang in search of this place for a romantic valentine's dinner. and on the way home, smart me gave the wrong directions and we ended up in sentul. apparently in sentul there is this place called naili's place which is kinda well known for its cozy atmosphere and the tree house.

looks pretty cool huh...

vincent, me and ken yeow...oh and jessie was there too but she was holding the camera :)

the food here are quite expensive though if you compare it to a mamak, kinda like williams but less variety of food le...so, this is what missy piggy jessie recommended...

nasi lemak...can't really remember how it tastes but i am quite positive it wasn't that great.

vincent took the hotdog...rm10.90 for this man!!

and burger...mine!! for the same price as the hotdog...this is definitely more worth it!! it is like the chili's burger, damn huge!!

hi everyone!! gong hei fatt choi!! i know it has been awhile since my last update...and everyone's complaining already. been busy and awfully lazy at the same time during the chinese new year...i guess it is always the same every year right!! reunion dinner, yee sang, ang pau's and gambling of course...

it has been a joyous one this year, cause everyone is back from australia, china, singapore and johor!! which also means more ang pau!! hahaha...

besides that, this year we celebrated my grandma's 80th birthday!! double happiness!! she may be old...but still going strong!!

but one thing weird about this year is that it has been raining almost everyday...it's either a good thing cause it is always hot like mad every cny!! or it means the world is coming closer to its end cause in my history book, never ever did it rained during cny's...

and what is cny without some gambling...i would say the god of wealth has been quite fair with me this year!! i win and i lose, now i'm back to square one...*hint* who wants to play mahjong?! lol...

road trip!! all alone =(

last monday i went on a spontaneous road trip to penang...to visit my friend and to eat!! so, i drove there alone, all by myself for four hours...it was damn taxing man!! had to concentrate and follow the speed limit cause it's near a festive season, sure got damn a lot of road blocks. who could have known when the time that i lost my patience and decided to speed up a li'l...i got caught!! omfgwtfknnccb!! bloody ketupats!!

was fucking glad that i reached penang already...it was around 12.00am!! and what do you normally do at this hour??

eat la of course...didn't had a proper dinner, i ate the kfc alaskan fish burger on the way,which was kinda sucky!! whereas, this one here, is the penang prawn mee but it's maggi mee. it was li fung who ordered for me...taste wise it's ok la!! somehow, i felt some of the one's here more tasty...

and so this is where i stayed for the night...she rents a room in one of these apartments, which is kinda dodgy looking!! she said there are lots of chickens roaming around...w00ts!!

this is the view from the 22nd floor of the apartment...beautiful ain't it!! facing the sea...actually almost everywhere in penang faces the sea and if you're high up.

the next day, first off we head to prangin mall. but, we couldn't find the way. lol...she's been there for 2 years++ and shes doesn't really know the way. in the end we had to follow behind a bus which is heading there...swt!!

penang assam laksa...the real deal!! sour and not too spicy...*slurps*

we couldn't resist all the deco at the mall and had to take a pic!! the place has more cny spirit than here definitely...probably because the concentration of chinese people there is higher.

later on, we headed to the newly opened queensbay mall. it's a bit like klcc or one utama new wing...high class kind of place!! with brands like versace, somerset bay and more~

then, something caught my eye!! wongkok kitchen...and no, it is not the same as the char chan teng we see around kl/pj. this one they sell a li'l something more special...

i bought 2 polo pau, egg tart and yuen long (a place in hong kong) loupo peng!! wanted to buy a few loupo peng to bring home, but i forgot...damn it!! polo pau, you can still get it here at uptown, grandma's "kitchen" or "something" (can't remember). egg tart...anywhere also selling la!! but loupo peng...you can find it in selangor i salute you...and what's so special about it??

loupo peng is a chinese traditional pastry made with winter melon and almond paste. the story behind it was, there once lived a poor but very lovely couple and the husband's father was ill due to a mysterious disease. in order to get more money to treat the disease, the wife sold herself to a rich man for money. when the husband found out what she had done, he earned money by selling these biscuits, which became very famous and bought her back...

so...instead of loupo biscuit, i decided to bring something else home as a souvenir...

him heang tau sar pneah/tambun biscuit/dragon balls...my favourite!! and since it's the chinese new year season, if you guys wanna eat this. its gotta be him heang!! others will only disappoint you...but i think only can get in penang, so you'll still be disappointed =P

after that, we went to this temple, which i dunno what name...to see luang pho yuk, the sacred image of Buddha. those who wants to consult the Buddha must first pay respect to the sacred image with sincerity. then, grip the sacred image with both hands, make a wish and ask that you should be able to lift it up lightly. if it happens, then your wish is possible to happen. on the second attempt for the same wish, ask that you should not be able to lift it up at all. if that happens, your wish is going to be successful...

though it may be small...the sacred image was really heavy man!! you may think it is a scam or something. but, li fung said her younger brother was able to lift it up without breaking a sweat -_-||| believe it or not!!

at night, i went to gurney drive and had dinner before i head back home...li fung and me!!

i couldn't resist not taking a few more pictures before i leave!! i'm gonna miss the place cause it's such a nice place to be...not so fast paced as kl/pj and there are beaches all around!! no need to drive to pd all the time...

so, my last meal before leaving, the supposedly famous char kuay teow...rm3.50 for a small plate but at least they give lots of prawns!!

and then i ate wan tan mee!! also not bad...

the worst was the fried oyster...*bleh*

well, that's it for my one day penang trip...wanted to shop there actually!! but, nothing special also and the things are not to say much cheaper compared to here...was damn tired on the way back and almost had an accident cause i was falling asleep. luckily i stopped awhile to rest. *phew* and since i know some of the roads in penang now, we all could go there next time!! hahaha...

yea...so this is roughly what i do the whole bloody day!! standing in front of a camera holding a camera...if the director isn't happy with it, you gonna repeat it again and again in the hot sun. and i got a great tanning!! you could've seen some ang mohs turn into chinese or malay...

these people are some of the friends i got to know that day...celine, khairul, kelvin & me!!

overall, the day was hell!! cause i didn't sleep and was there till 7pm...and i'm getting paid rm70 only. w00ts!! but, hopefully can see my face la in the ad!! hehehe...cheers!~

hehehe...it is definitely not what you're thinking of, the four heavenly kings andy lau, jacky cheung, leon lai and aaron kwok who are the four most famous hong kong male artistes in the 1990s...went for field work today with my boss, so we had lunch at this place nearby in pandan indah.

and the shop is called the four heavenly noodles or the four noodle kings...

hehe...i ordered my favourite prawn mee!! it is actually quite good. cause they didn't add in the sambal for you, so you can taste the freshness of prawns in the soup. instead of putting loads of sambal in and killing its taste.some places they really smell good but the taste later on...haihs!!

my lady boss ordered ipoh sliced chicken hor fun...i didn't try it but she said it was okay la!! you don't expect me to stick my chopstick into her bowl and say "lemme try ah!!" i still want my job okay...

the other noodle kings were assam laksa and curry laksa...shall try that next time if i have the chance!! quite far eh the place, if it is just to eat heavenly noodles...

my lady boss additionally ordered this ikan bilis taufu as a side dish...fried taufu with ikan bilis and sweet sour sauce. what could possibly go wrong?? if it does...the shop should just close asap!!

one thing i wasn't satisfied as a customer is...the cups that they serve our drinks in our so small!! k...not small but the cup was tall and thin!! so kiam sap...but if i was the boss, it's the few possible ways to maximize earnings. even my prawn mee they serve chicken slices instead of roasted pork. this happens when people gets too smart...ish ish!!

nothing much worthy to blog about these days...other than good food of course!! went to sungei way today for dinner, it's just a li'l chinese restaurant in a li'l shop lot in a li'l secluded part of town...

hua xing...it may be li'l but it serves great food!! inside you could see lotsa newspaper articles about it pasted on the walls...

a few things that you would hafta eat there is this...crispy brinjal!! really good...has lotsa fried shrimps with it.

and also this pork dish, but i dunno the name...it comes with 'kan sui' kuih, what do you call kuih in english btw?? cake?? doesn't sound proper to me though. it is roughly like the tong po pork, which u eat it with mantou with a li'l twist. something new and worth trying...

curry chicken...they actually have this dish served with bread, but no more bread =(

bitter gourd fried with salted egg...honestly, i ain't a bitter gourd lover, don't even really like it. but this one here...the fried bitter gourd aren't that bitter anymore so it's alright!!

mel chew is gonna freak out if she sees this...totally explicit content!! this one no need to say la...it's fresh!! period~

hehehe...last but not least!! k...so i forgot to take the picture, but at least there's still one or two to show you guys...prawns fried with salted egg!! i'm sure you guys get the idea now that other than zhu yao char, frying things with salted eggs rocks too!! damn right it does...

what do you do on most wednesdays?? i think it's the most boring day of the week cause it's in between the busy days and the partying days...most probably stay at home and watch csi!! so, i went out to seek fun of my own...lol!! went to island cafe in ss2, which is a "lala cafe" to most of my friends...we opened a bucket of beer and played chor tai dee, with a little twist...

at first when we still had beer, the losers had to drink half a bottle...but when we ran out, which was quite fast!! the loser, which is the person with the most cards in hand had to take off his shirt for one round...and the first to go was kj!! whooo.....sexy!!

next was ken yeow...lol!! he lost the last round and was supposed to walk to his car like this...but he chickened out and wore back his shirt. talk about spoil sport!! sore loser!! boo....and me?? as for me...the lucky guy!! i didn't get last place so...i was just happily snapping photos of half naked guys in a cafe...lol!!

after so long of posting about my drinking escapades and galavanting. i am finally back to blogging about food!! ain't that sweet or what??! lol...well, after a briefing today my lady boss brought me to eat lunch at aman suria/kampung chempaka. i wouldn't know how to explain where it is, but it's nearby and connected to both the places. and if i drive la...

the place is owned by my lady boss's relative i think, if i'm not mistaken. they serve hakka mee, char siew rice, chicken rice and stuff la...

so this is their famous hakka mee...which would be slightly different than the ones you eat at coffee shops or bentong or sarawak. cause this is seremban hakka mee, duh!! the taste is actually more plain than the others, not that salty...

served with this honey roasted char siew....whooooo~!! must order half fat half meat, must ok!! otherwise you'll regret...the tender meat melts once you put it in your mouth!! it tastes really really good...

i doubt you have ever seen char siew looked so good in pictures!! makes me salivate... =)

hey hey...today was a day filled with utter dullness. had no work today, sat in front of the computer, ate and took a nap...sheesh!! very unproductive....well, i just ate the best burger in the world (like that's something worth blogging bout, huh!!). actually i am gonna write about apocalypto...just watched it just now with my dad and sis.

i doubt it'll be screening here cause the movie is filled with half naked ladies (alright...hold your horses there guys!! don't get too excited, i don't want you to be disappointed.) and a little cruel action in it...cheers to bloody shallow minded malaysians!!

i just watched this movie yesterday, and it is awesome!! to those who haven't please do so...the story is based on the 1991 civil war in Sierra Leone, where diamonds are illegally traded for firearms. so, girls...do not ask for any diamond rings, necklace and etc. cause you will be indirectly funding civil war!!imagine how many lives are taken to put a shiny piece of stone on your little finger...lol~

imagine...how cool would it be to be able to reverse time?? we could re-do our what is wrong and change our decisions that we regretted making or relive the times we enjoyed the most in life. now, won't the world be a better place if it was true?

dream on...and it will always remain as a wish upon the stars. this thought just came to me when i replayed a video of my friends playing lego plus some other toys in vincent's house. it was damn funny n cute!! makes you realize how the power of imagination could keep a child going on for hours and hours with his/her toys in one corner.

they remake their own famous star wars moment...lol!! i am your father...

i'm pretty sure everyone have thought of being a kid again or probably go back to high school. man...those were the days!! besides having exams, there are no worries in the world, just play and have fun and not forgetting girls!!

hi...i know it is kinda late for this, but it's food!! anytime is time for food!! hehehe...first, i would like to say is that food in cambodia are almost similar to their neighbouring countries. they are all a li'l sweet. i'm sure everyone here tasted thai food before right?? otherwise, go kill yourself please. i wouldn't want to do it for you...

i didn't really had the time to go food hunting around cause we were too busy raiding tombs and temples during the day. there isn't much shops around the block and they close quite early. so, the only ones left open are those that gonna cut your throat. lol...just kidding!! they're just shops that are opened for tourists. thus, the food everywhere are almost the same.

k...dis is their famous amoke/amok curry!!it's like green curry...*slurps*

hehe...fried eggplant with minced pork!! how to describe the flavour?? it taste like brinjal and pork fried together...and a li'l sweet...swt!!

i doubt this is their traditional food...it's potato in oven with cheese!! dis one is good too...*yum yum*

oh and they have this dessert shop called the blue pumpkin!! it's quite famous according to my sister...

i tried the bee's nest...basically it is a honey sponge cake topped with almonds coated with more honey. *schweet* too sweet actually...hahaha!!

and this is their ham & cheese quiche...not bad!! wonder where can i get it here??

they also have ice cream...their flavours are quite good!!

looks like a normal kuih you can find in malaysia eh...but cause we didn't know what is inside. we decided to try...it looks like a chinese dumpling!!

and indeed...it is filled with kau choi...just without meat...it was still quite tasty actually cause the man adds some oil and sauce to it!! something different...n unique!!

another unique meal would be their chnang dae...it is just like a steamboat but there is only one soup flavour and it is kinda sweet. not sugary sweet but the kind of fresh sweet taste...great!! a must try...

try and guess what is this?? dis is actually a banana split or suppose to be...really not what we had in mind. so not worth it...

yup...so that is it for cambodian food!! hope to go other places around the world and try different style of food...tata~

last sunday me n ma family went to a li'l korean restaurant in li'l korean town in ampang to hav dinner...its different den d others u see in ss2 or hartamas or anywhere else cos...it's jus different la!! d food they serve ere r similar to home cook food n not korean bbq...

i ain't kiddin...it's really a small li'l restaurant!!

da kitchen is right in front...u can see it once u step thru dat door!! so u can b rest assured dat d food is not dirty...

one thing i like bout korean meals r dat they serve many li'l side dishes like these...it occupies ur time a li'l while waitin for d main course to come.

dis is gon mandu...like chinese dumpling le or japanese gyoza. but d steamed one r much nicer!!

dis is probably d most standard dish. kimchi chi gae...pork in kimchi soup!!

dis is actually nin kou, u noe, d thing dat chinese alwis hav during chinese new year. jus dat dis is witout brown sugar...

last friday i went to teluk gong around klang to hav dinner wit my buddies...it was d last weekend for my peeps studyin in uk!! man...d trip to da place was so long cos, u can say i took d wrong way o probably d longer way...hahaha!! honestly, imo d food dere isn't great anymore n it isn't worth da hassle travelling so far...i rather go to pj seafood or lala chong or even d shop behind my house!! d oni place i would go to klang for seafood now is northport...d crabs dere r big n fresh!! yum yum...

a trip to cambodia part 3

hey hey...so on d third day in siem reap we went for a half day trip to kampung phlok n d tonle sap lake. d whole thing costs US$16 including transport n food. but before dat, we stopped by 2 temples...

dis is preah ko (the sacred ox), it's stil under restoration tho...

these is wat kids do when they're bored dere...sit around temples n watch d tourists come n go!! poor kids...imagine no ps2, no computer, they dun even hav a tv i think.

crap...i can't remember d name for dis one!! din even go n see around cos we were too tired for any more.

after dat we stopped by our tour guide's house awhile to use d loo b4 moving on cos there'll b no toilets dere...

these r d kids hangin around his house...but i'm not sure if they're his. if they are, dat's hell lotta kids man...

i'm sure u guys hav neva seen a live pig b4...all we eva see is bak kut teh, pork chop, braised pork leg, char siew , siew yuk n more!! happy or not weng hoe??

from d tour guide's village jus now, we took a motorcycle ride for bout 10-15 minutes to reach our li'l boat. dis was d highlight of d whole trip!! d best motorcycle ride of my life..tho it's sunny, u dun feel d heat at all!! if u do dat in malaysia...u'll b sweatin like our fren in d pic up dere...a pig!!

u ain't gonna find a scenery like dis in malaysia...imaginin waking up n starin at dis everyday!! omg...i wanna live dere!! so relaxing...

den another 15 minutes boat ride, we reached d village by d river, kampung phlok...

the village is so poor, they dun even hav electricity...they use car batteries for power!!

n also fire wood...wonder jus how grateful we are...

n dis is a weddin celebration in cambodia...if u see this kinda tent...means sumbody is gettin married!! but y so little ppl huh...

cos they're all ere...waitin to get rice from one of d election party. jus like malaysia, when election is near they do all sort of "charity" to buy ppl's hearts...n when they've won, they forget everythin they promised. scumbags!!

dis is d pagoda at dat village...we din enter cos...err...urrm...i aso dunno y...ish ish!!

after dat we moved on to see d lake...doesn't look like a lake rite, cos it's dam dam dam big!! sumthin like d kalamazoo lake...can't see d end of it...nothin much to see actually anyway~

later on, we aso dropped by artisan d'angkor awhile to see how d handmade stuffs are done...dis guy ere is carving a sandstone. apparently, it take bout a month to finish one if i'm not mistaken...

den ere u can see these ladies doin silk painting...u think it's cool??think again...they're all deaf n dumb. they communicate wit sign languages...honestly, how many dumb n deaf girls can u get...unless they're so desperate, dat they stab their ears wit sumthin n drink acid to qualify to do silk paintin...poor girls!!

altho we pity dem, we din buy anythin cos it's too expensive for us to buy le...a fist size stone carvin is at least US$50. n a silk shirt is US$35 and above for one...want to buy aso cannot!! vomit blood ar...

on day two...will jus feature pictures!! cos nothin much to say other den more tomb raidin n temple climbing. fun huh?! woke up early in d morning n took a tuk tuk to angkor thom...which was d last capital city of d khmer empire.

dis is d entrance leadin to angkor thom...wit buddha like scultures i think...

n so dis is d bayon temple at d centre of angkor thom...

d whole temple is filled wit these 4 faced buddha sculptures...actually most of d stone carvings on d walls of temples,tombs n palaces r almost d same. u seen one u've seen all!! but...jus as d ppl say...it may be same same but stil different!! hehehe...

behind us ere is baphuon...dedicated to the god shiva!!

when i stare at these steps i aso feel tired adi...dis is ta keo, an incomplete temple in the khleang style.

after seeing d temples...we went to see terraces. dis is terrace of the elephants. apparently d king jayavarman vii used it to view the return of his victorious army...

beside it was d terrace of the leper king...flat king?? lol...dharmaraja was a.ka. the leper king cos discoloration and moss growing on the original statue was reminiscent of a person with leprosy.

actually dis wall is blocked by an outer wall cos they say dat there was sumthin wrong wit d sculptures...dis pic ere shows d many headed naga...

dis is suppose to b a buddhist temple preah palilay...but it was in such a bad condition it jus looks like a pile of rocks wit trees growin out of it...its most distinctive feature is its chimney-shaped tower.

the phimeanakas...a hindu temple!! we din climb dis one cos we were so exhausted...desperately needed a massage!!

after dat...we went to d famous ta prohm cos it was used as a location in the film tomb raider!!

it has many silk cotton trees growin on the top everywhere...

after all dat walkin n climbing...we went to relieve our feets wit a massage!! felt so good after dat...was kinda expensive tho, US$6 for an hour!! in thailand...could probably get 2 hours for d same price!!

okay...i went to cambodia on the 28th of december last year. n d flight dere took 2 hours which was kinda quick cos i slept thru most of it...

dis is d siem reap international airport...it oni has like one level!! o_O n it looks like d traditional malaysian houses rite?

but the surroundings are very nice...lots of trees n li'l ponds.

and dis is where we stayed, for like 4 days 3 nights!! it's not a luxurious hotel la...all d nice nice ones looks like a palace...

their ways of public transport is a li'l bit like thailand...got tuk tuk!! which is kinda annoyin...oh, n d ones ere r not cheap ok cos they do business in US$...do u noe dat d average cambodian income a day is US$1.00!!

cambodia is stil a third world country...they're like laggin behind 40 years if u compare wit malaysia. their currency is riel which is dam (x 10) small...1 US$ is 4000 riel which is equivalent to rm3.50 now. for example, if u're a local dere n not a tourist (cos if u are, den they sure cut ur throat la), 3 dumplings or 2 roti telur would oni cost u 1000 riel. dat is like rm0.88 man!!whoo...we'll b super rich if we migrated dere wit all our money!!

i suggest we shud all go to cambodia together...cos a can of beer dere, in a tourist spot restaurant is about 1 US$ n during happy hours it'll b US$0.75. cocktails r like 2 to 3 US$ n it is buy one free one during happy hours too!! it is so much cheaper den thailand man...we could get drunk everyday!!

ere u can see dat d ppl dere stil live like in a kampung wit houses by d river...d air dere is very dry n cos of dat it is dusty!! one thing good bout it is dat u dun feel sticky n uncomfy when u sweat...cos it evaporates quickly...

during my 1st day dere...we went to see d majestical angkor wat!! u think it's free? hafta pay man...look at da price!! wat a rip off...imagine d person collectin d money d eyes sure shinin gile babi brightly!!

yup...to go see a pile of carved stones dat used to b a tomb or temple, everyone had to pay US$40 each...gg desu!!

dis is d moat surrounding d angkor wat...

n dis is d main entrance to angkor wat...n u can see d swarm of tourists ere!! mostly an yang's n konnichiwa's...every where u go u'll definitely see dem!! a few of dem r quite beautiful tho...lol!! so i ain't complainin...

dis is d flight of stairs goin up to d angkor wat towers...d steps r narrow n steep!! gile scary n dangerous man..

one wrong move, u'll probably die rollin down or break sumthin even if u survived!! d journey up was ok...d way down was a bitch, cos when u look down below, ur balls shake man!!

one thing i was curious about is dat all d floors dere alwis hav alot of holes...we din wanna ask d guides over dere cos dat would cost US$10 for him to tell u stories...i think they wan us to pokai if we din watch our step so we would go to their hospital n spend sum cash dere too huh!! biatches...

next i went to phnom bakheng...which is a favourite spot for watchin d sunset!! dis is d main structure dere...n as usual, u hafta climb up a series of killer stairs to get to d top. n i forgot to mention b4 dat u hafta climb up d hill 1st which takes about 10-15 minutes??

due to d kiam sap-ness of my family members besides my eldest sister...we decided to pass on d elephant ride up d hill which costs US$15 per person. almost rm60 to ride a bloody elephant, we could've do it in malaysia for d same amount in ringgit man...i hate it so much when u start convertin d currencies when u're on a holiday!! spoils d fun in everything... so it was a very very tiring day...climbin up n down...

d scenery was so beautiful!! d sun became a celebrity for a few minutes at dat moment...everyone was taking pictures n starin at it wow-ing ere n dere...in malaysia d oni place u could watch d sunset or rise is at d beaches!! d air ere is too polluted n foggy on hills to see d horizon...oh oh n dere was dis cool moment when an airplane was taking off right into d sunset!! was exactly jus like d movies...

dis is d amount of tourists on top of phnom bakheng...amazing dat d structure din collapse, but i think its bound to cos it is adi 12 centuries old...

den after dat...we went back to d hotel n had dinner nearby n died-ed on our beds!! it's been awhile since all of us worked out...lol!! n dat sums up wat i did on my first day in angkor...

i bet u guys mus b questionin...where's d food?? hehehe...dun worry, i shall post bout it separately. otherwise, dere'll b too many pics too load!!

happy new years everybody!! may 2007 be a prosperous and joyous year ahead n 2006 be a part of ur wonderful memories...it is time to move forward n forget the past, no matter good or bad!!

hey hey...n for most of u who dunno, i jus came back from cambodia on new years eve!! so sorry dat i din get to inform everyone n due to d world wide wait, i wasn't able to post on my blog without gettin pissed at d ever crawling slow connection...i shall post bout my trip soon enuf after i sought out d pics k!!

for now...d biggest event is bout new years!! a whole new year, a whole new start n nobody doesn't noe wat is gonna come n hit us in d face other den malaysia celebratin its 50th independence day n d visit malaysia year 2007...so, again, i would like to wish everybody happy new years n may everyone fulfill/achieve their resolutions!!
